Wu wu nonsense or scientific fact? There’s no denying that we are all made of energy. Our entire being held together by tiny vibrating fuzzies that make up our cells, our organs, our blood, our skin.
Sometimes vibrating slowly and staying where they are, sometimes going so fast and shooting off to bump into some other ones.
Constant movement, ebb and flow, just like life. Our life force. In us, around us, in the earth, in the trees, in the mountains.
When you feel that ‘connection’ with a person, when you feel that first attraction, even when you feel an instant dislike, it’s all energy.
Reiki is highly vibrating energy, channeled through a practitioner. Primarily for self healing; through meditation and practice, the energy is directed to balance the body with the goal of achieving ‘oneness’ with the universe.
When practicing reiki we follow the Reiki Principles or guidelines as a way of living life. Each one allows us to consider how we live and take small, easy steps towards a change for our higher good.
Just for today...
I will let go of anger
I will let go of worry
I will be grateful
I will do my work honestly
I will be kind to every living thing.
A reiki treatment is performed with the client fully dressed, but usually snuggled up under blankets and propped up with pillows. I practice both hands on and hands off, led by what feels right for that moment.
As the client you will fall into a deeply relaxed state. You may feel heat, you may see lights or colours, you may feel nothing other than sleepiness. The energy goes where it needs to- and when it needs to.
The very nature of the flow of energy means we can practice reiki even at a distance. A treatment of focus, of direction and intuition; as part of my own development I’m inviting you to join me every Monday evening at 20.15 (French time) via Facebook or Insta live for a distance reiki session.
Get cosy, tune in and see exactly what I’ve been bashing on about for the last year and a half xx
